A most FABULOUS pair of antique floral Diamond earrings; an instantly and romantically glamorising touch to add beauty and specialness to your everyday. The petalled perennials sparkle and twinkle quite dazzlingly and sit really neatly upon the ear, each displaying ten olden rose-cut Diamonds all faceted by hand... likely in the 18th century and recycled by the jeweller when these earrings were made.
Many jewels are converted by their owners to bring new life over the years, and we bought these charming earrings as a brooch, but we could see their story in the remainders of the fittings which are still evident today... once drop earrings; then clasp (look from the back you'll see the fittings are still there); then brooch... and finally restored by us to stud earrings. A really lovely choice as a special gift!
Circa 1910's-1930's, and mounted in Platinum but with secure new 18ct White Gold fittings the flowers measure 13mm across.
