Vintage circa 1940's, these striking crystal Opal and White Zircon stud earrings are really striking! Hand crafted and set with beautiful rainbow Opals which have the full range of colours, we believe these originate to Sri Lanka when it was under British control. Ceylon, now Sri Lanka, is world renowned for their gemstones. Millions upon millions or carats of gemstones have been mined over the past century in Ceylon, including Topaz and Zircon (which come in a range of colours) and which in this case are used because of their sparkly nature to simulate Diamonds.
All in 9ct yellow Gold with pretty details and sturdy new scroll backs. They measure 13mm by 11mm. Please note there are a few tiny nibbles to the Zircons which are barely visible to the naked eye and we have priced with this in mind.
